These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Spectacular-Ocular ("we", "us"), the publisher of the Massage Maps mobile application ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms also function as the App's End User License Agreement.
1. What Massage Maps is
Massage Maps is a directory of massage establishments with community-contributed reviews, photos, and pricing information. Listings and user content are provided for general information only. We do not own, operate, endorse, or verify any listed business, and we make no warranty about the accuracy of listings, opening hours, or prices.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
- You must register with a valid email address and verify it before contributing content.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your credentials secure.
3. User content and code of conduct
You may contribute reviews, photos, and new shop listings ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the App and related services.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. The following are prohibited and will be removed:
- Sexually explicit content, or content advertising, soliciting, or implying sexual services of any kind;
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abuse directed at any person or group;
- Defamatory, knowingly false, or misleading reviews; fake ratings; review manipulation;
- Photos of identifiable people taken or posted without their consent;
- Spam, advertising, off-topic content, or content that infringes others' rights;
- Illegal content of any kind.
24-hour moderation. Every review, photo, and listing can be reported in-app. We act on reports within 24 hours by removing the offending content and ejecting the user who provided it. Reported photos are hidden immediately pending review. Users who violate these rules may be blocked permanently without notice.
- One review per shop. Each account may post at most one review per establishment. You may edit or delete your own review at any time.
- Photo consent. Only upload photos you took yourself and have the right to share. Do not upload photos showing identifiable people unless every identifiable person has given you their consent to publication.
- Reviews are limited to 280 characters and pass automated content filtering before publication.
4. Subscriptions
- The App is free to browse and contribute to. Premium features ("Massage Maps Pro" — filters, favourites, extended search radius and crowd-reported price data) require an auto-renewing subscription: £19.99/year (with a 7-day free trial) or £2.99/month. Local prices are set by the app stores and may vary.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The annual plan charges when the 7-day free trial ends, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — subscriptions cannot be cancelled from within the App itself, and deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period and will not renew. Reviews and photos you contributed are retained on the map after account deletion, relabelled as authored by "Deleted user" — delete individual reviews beforehand if you do not want them retained. Your account record, email, and personal profile data are permanently deleted.
6. Termination
We may suspend or permanently block accounts that violate these Terms, without notice and without refund of any subscription period already paid, where the block results from a violation. You may stop using the App at any time.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spectacular-Ocular is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any dealings you have with businesses listed in the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
